For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness.

The role involves Service Management within Transmission Digital, overseeing the delivery of IT and Operational Technology (OT) services across the SSEN Transmission business. This pivotal role is accountable for:
- Managing service providers to ensure delivery against defined Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
- Strategic development and ongoing maintenance of effective commercial service management practices with external suppliers.
- Ensuring operational readiness by identifying potential risks and implementing scalable solutions that support long‑term service excellence.
- Acting as the intermediary between IT and our business, translating needs into effective solutions.
- Developing a communication approach to ensure regular conversations with key stakeholders, capturing their requirements and feedback, and creating improvements where possible.
- Representing SSEN Transmission in interactions with third‑party vendors, forming strong collaborative working relationships whilst ensuring vendor accountability.
- Partnering internally with key stakeholders to align contracts with evolving business needs.
- Ensuring IT/OT services comply with the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and relevant regulatory requirements by embedding robust governance practices.
- Promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, demonstrating behaviours such as integrity, attention to detail, and proactive risk management to uphold security and service resilience.
You have:
- A recognised service management accreditation, e.g. ITIL v4.
- Extensive experience of working within a Service Management role in a large, complex environment.
- A strategic and proactive approach to problem solving, looking at the big picture and how decisions and actions impact across the business.
- An ability to work in a cross‑functional environment and adapt to change quickly.
- Experience with Operational Technology and the Utilities industry is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in a regulated environment is beneficial.
