The role
SSEN Transmission has an opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to play a key role in the management and development of project information and business documentation across a wide range of projects. Successful applicants will be responsible for providing input into the development of the information requirements documentation as well as validating information processes and administration of the projects assigned to them.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and configure the SSEN Transmission Common Data Environment (CDE) and Autodesk Construction Cloud to ensure this fits the needs of the project and delivery teams.
- Assist in the preparation of the information requirements documentation in line with the BS EN ISO 19650 series and the UK BIM Framework.
- Support in the upskilling of both internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure full understanding of the systems and processes, and compliance with the prescribed workflows.
- Act as the main point of contact on assigned projects for all BIM related tasks and coordinate the sharing of commercially sensitive or confidential model information.
- Verify and validate that model information and asset data is accurate and complete. Liaise with internal teams including Project Information Officers and BIM Managers on related issues to ensure consistency of approach on all projects.
Qualifications
- Excellent administration and organisational skills; experience with collaboration software, specifically Autodesk Construction Cloud. Knowledge of authoring information in AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D is advantageous.
- Project delivery experience is beneficial. Demonstrable experience coordinating multiple tasks, managing meeting schedules and producing succinct reports.
- Proven ability to provide technical support to project teams and identify business/project and technical improvements.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and UK BIM Framework guidance and industry standard best practices for information management.
- Approachable, professional manner, able to work with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes, with a commitment to excellence.
