The predicted salary is between 32900 - 38700 £ per year.

Base Location: Flexible Scotland. We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland, Perth, Dundee, Elgin or Inverness.

Salary: £38,966 - £45,905 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role:

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Operations Data & Compliance Technician to join SSEN Transmission in our goal for Net Zero. You will be responsible for maintaining technical documents and liaising with various levels of stakeholders to ensure our data, compliance and training are accurately maintained. Please note this is a 12 months fixed term position.

  • Record inspection, maintenance and testing outputs ensuring accuracy throughout SSEN Transmission.
  • This includes maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operations, including Insulation & Interruption Gas (IIG) and Oil activity, and ensuring Electricity Safety, Quality & Continuity Regulations (ESQCR) defects are recorded and rectified.
  • Review and verify data accuracy in Maximo and other platforms, supporting our engineering teams with equipment updates.
  • Ensure compliance with Construction Design & Management (CDM) Health and Safety standards for project deliverables throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Maintain technical documentation such as vendor manuals and drawings for on-site operations.
  • Coordinate inspection and maintenance activities and ensure training for key operational disciplines.

You have:

  • Minimum SVQ Level 3 in engineering discipline, HNC preferred.
  • Experience in a similar role within the power systems industry will be considered.
  • Demonstrable awareness and understanding of main power system components and a working knowledge of all technical functions within power system operations.
  • A clear understanding and use of Maximo and systems such as SYPOL, Vault, Electric Office, ESRI ArcGIS, Autodesk Vault, Viewpoint.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A full driving licence as travel is required for this role.
