Project Management Graduate Programme 2026 – Transmission
Start date: 2‑year programme, commencing September 2026.
Base locations: Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.
Salary: circa ÂŁ34,000 per annum plus a range of other benefits.
Working pattern: Permanent, full time, flexible. First options available.
Degree disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management.
What is the role?
As a Project Management Graduate joining SSEN Transmission, you will follow a specialist pathway. Specialists will work with experts in their specialism, gaining exposure within a business area for the duration of the programme with the aim of providing experience that will lead to a substantive post. SSEN Transmission is working on high‑profile transmission projects to support clean renewable energy, ensuring the network is safe, efficient and structurally sound.
Project Delivery responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and monitor projects during the refinement and construction phases.
- Collaborate with a wider team and contractors to successfully deliver projects, working both in office and on site.
- Develop an understanding of safety culture and company values.
What do I need to join?
- Minimum 2:2 bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
- Full UK Driver's Licence (or in process of learning to drive) to travel to project sites.
- Practical work experience in the energy sector, demonstrable teamwork, initiative to overcome challenges, and genuine interest in SSEN Transmission.
