Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Flexible First options available

The role:

  • To provide professional Process Engineering expertise to the SSE Hornsea Gas Storage sites in order to maintain and improve site availability, direct cost performance and SHE performance.
  • Monitor and assess plant performance to identify deviations from the normal operating parameters in terms of process capability, availability, gas quality and direct costs.
  • Identify corrective actions required to restore site operation to the accepted norm and work alongside the Shift Engineers and Technicians to implement them.
  • Develop and maintain Operating Instructions and Procedures and provide training to shift personnel to ensure that the plant is operated in the correct manner by all process staff.
  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis investigations as required to identify causes of failures to meet nominations, process problems and equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Identification of improvement opportunities and drive improvement.

You have:

  • Technical knowledge of processes for high pressure gas injection, storage and withdrawal.
  • Knowledge of IT programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Process).
  • Ability to prioritise work and continually seek better ways of working.
