As JV Finance Manager, you’ll be a valued and influential member of the JV leadership team, working closely with colleagues across the Finance function and partnering with the SSE Renewables Offshore Wind business. In this role, you’ll bring thoughtful financial expertise, a collaborative mindset and strong judgement to support senior leaders, including the JV Board. This is a forward‑looking finance business partnering position—focused on meaningful performance insight, constructive challenge, long‑term planning and supportive guidance through budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making. You will play an important role in shaping monthly forecasts, the annual budget and the 10‑year plan, helping the organisation plan with clarity and confidence.

You Will:

  • Deliver key financial responsibilities to the JV with care and accuracy, including management accounts, financial reporting, cashflow forecasting and distributions, while ensuring compliance with JV and SSE governance procedures.
  • Support performance improvement through thoughtful analysis and proactive, relationship‑centred challenge, helping build the business case for recommendations and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders at Head‑of and Director level.
  • Prepare, coordinate and lead the development of forecasts, budgets and long‑term plans, guiding stakeholders through the process and ensuring outputs are realistic, robust and aligned with wider strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on financial matters, providing reassurance, clarity and guidance, and working closely with key partners and subject matter experts across the business.

You Have:

  • Strong experience as a fully‑qualified accountant, with a background in business partnering, Finance Manager or Management Accountant roles, and a track record of supporting complex, real‑world business challenges.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, including familiarity with investment appraisal techniques.
  • The ability to interpret and bring together insights from multiple data sources—including market intelligence—and translate them into clear, thoughtful recommendations and practical next steps.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with experience presenting financial performance to a range of audiences.
  • A background in a commercially focused, operational environment, with an understanding of contract management, project delivery and financial planning.
