Andover or Salisbury (mobile; base must be within 30 minutes of depots)

Salary & Benefits

  • £29,504 - £34,757 DOE, plus:
  • 37 hour working week.
  • Up to £4,442 for overtime payments and up to £3,820 for standby payments, giving you a potential of £8,262 extra per year.

Overview

We are looking for Utility Arborists to join our busy team, including Team Leaders and Operatives. The role involves cyclical tree cutting programmes, managing tight schedules, and working with a skilled team to manage trees and vegetation near our distribution network with a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cyclical tree cutting programmes.
  • Work within tight schedules and coordinate with a highly skilled team.
  • Evaluate, prepare and carry out tree cutting works near the distribution network, across various sites and voltages.
  • Cut or trim trees during high wind and storm conditions to prevent power cuts.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in forestry, arboriculture or a closely related field.
  • Relevant NPTC certificate units for the use of chainsaws, including NPTC and UAs qualification.
  • Enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities.
  • Experience of working with power lines; climbing experience would be highly advantageous.
  • A high regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do.
  • Valid driving licence – travel required.
