Base Location: Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen

Salary: Β£63,000 – Β£94,400 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

This role will lead SSE Thermal\’s IT Enterprise Systems and manage business change to maximise value throughout their full lifecycle. Collaborating with two other colleagues, this role will be part of the Thermal IT leadership team, responsible for supporting and developing team members across our agile value streams. This is achieved through assuming responsibility as the Chapter Lead for Thermal IT\’s \’Product Strategy & Optimisation\’ chapter. This newly formed chapter emphasises product lifecycle management, consolidation, enhances product performance, and delivers business change by aligning with and optimising business processes.

You will

– Collaborate with Product Owners across SSE Thermal to ensure value streams are adequately resourced, innovative, and free from blockers or impediments, fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment.

– Lead and mentor a diverse chapter of Product Analysts, Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters, Digital Technology Support Office (DTSO), and Change & Communications teams, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.

– Ensure product roadmaps are maintained and aligned with IT and business strategies, driving measurable value for SSE Thermal.

– Drive impactful business change by promoting the adoption of our products, ensuring value delivery and alignment with evolving business needs.

– Collaborate with leadership colleagues to cultivate a positive, inclusive culture that prioritises collaboration, empowerment, and the consistent delivery of value.

You have

– Extensive experience in managing enterprise-scale systems, with a preference for experience in platforms such as Maximo, PI, and Oracle Fusion.

– Demonstrated success in delivering business change through IT system adoption and alignment with business processes.

– Knowledge of Energy Asset Management systems, covering areas such as Engineering, Asset Lifecycle Management, Safe Operations, Subsurface Analysis, Optimisation, and Trading.

– Experience in supporting and developing colleagues in an agile, collaborative, and empowering environment. Familiarity with ITIL and Scrum frameworks is beneficial.

– Creative thinking and a proactive approach to identifying innovative solutions to technology and departmental challenges.

– Strong experience in asset management system Maximo, its management and driving value.
