The predicted salary is between 56100 - 89100 Β£ per year.

Base Location: Glasgow, Perth, Reading and Havant

Salary: Β£66,100 – Β£99,100 + car allowance + performance related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The Strategy and Planning Manager provides clear ownership, planning discipline, and accountability for the Distribution technology function to ensure technology initiatives are focused, effectively planned, measured and deliver value aligned to business priorities. The role holder will understand Distribution and Group strategy and ensure alignment and integration of initiatives to enable effective and efficient delivery across the function. In operating a federated technology environment, where Group Technology provides core platforms and services, this role is critical to ensure effective stakeholder management and collaboration to delivery against performance expectations and value delivery.

You will

– Be responsible for oversight of the core technology portfolio functions, including cross Distribution technology performance-level reporting, cost control, integrated governance and planning

– Provide leadership across the entire technology department and ensure effective integration with colleagues across the Business and Group.

– Support with co-ordinating the technology strategic approach for ED3.

– Manage intake and prioritisation of business tech demands, balancing local needs with Group service capacity and standards.

– With strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and a focus on driving improvement, the role holder will propose efficiencies through effective workforce and supplier management.

You have

– Extensive experience in technology planning and portfolio management, skills in aligning technology initiatives to business goals, -managing roadmaps and overseeing delivery tracking.

– Experience in performance analysis and reporting, with the ability to define KIPs, analyse service data and communicate insights that drive action.

– Experience of Influencing direct reports and other resources without a direct line reporting relationship (for example from other directorates).

– Proficiency in technology budgeting, cost optimisation, chargeback and cloud financial governance.

– Experience in navigating multi layered technology governance structures and influencing across business and group stakeholders.
