Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.
Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Role: Reporting to the Risk Lead and Head of Risk (Offshore), the Senior Risk Analyst will take a leadership role in guiding project risk management activities across Offshore Directorate projects, ensuring that risks are thoughtfully identified, assessed, and mitigated. Collaborating closely with project teams, they will foster a supportive, inclusive environment to drive effective risk management processes and assist in programme-wide decision-making.
You Will:
- Lead risk reviews with a proactive approach, maintain and update project risk registers, develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensure high-quality risk data is consistently maintained, and escalate critical risks for broader programme action.
- Monitor and analyse project risk exposure, spotting emerging trends and potential challenges, preparing risk models for Ofgem assessments, and coordinating risk analysis around key project milestones.
- Coordinate comprehensive risk reporting across projects, refine and enhance reporting to continuously strengthen risk management outputs, and ensure alignment with cost and schedule considerations.
- Cultivate strong, supportive relationships with Procurement and Commercial, Planning, Cost, and Project Management teams, fostering collaboration to ensure risk identification and analysis are seamlessly integrated across the board.
- Take ownership of project risk data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity, while driving improvements to systems that support enhanced functionality and deliver clear insights.
You Have:
- Proven experience in risk management or project services within large infrastructure investment programmes, with a comprehensive understanding of how risk management plays a vital role in complex capital projects.
- Expertise in Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA), with a deep understanding of risk management methods and tools across cost, schedule, and scope, ensuring thoughtful, strategic assessments.
- The ability to clearly articulate risks to a diverse group of stakeholders, translating complex issues into accessible insights and recommending clear, practical actions for resolution.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with the agility to adapt to shifting project demands while maintaining a high standard of quality and focus.
- Strong networking, coordination, and influencing skills, with a collaborative and empathetic approach to driving solutions, and a pragmatic mindset to analyse challenges under pressure and deliver evidence-based recommendations.
