Overview
The Senior Cyber Resilience Manager will establish a new cyber resilience capability for SSE. They will drive technical cyber security resilience and recovery improvements, coordinate group-wide cyber security exercises, ensure follow-up actions are completed and learnings captured. They will own and direct cyber security resilience policy, standards and guidance, and support compliance with relevant cyber security regulations.
Your responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for cyber security resilience and recovery across the SSE Group and provide advisory support to BU exercises; champion cyber security awareness of resilience initiatives to enhance overall organisational preparedness.
- Own and direct cyber security resilience policy, ensuring alignment with industry standards and Group best practices from the Group resilience team.
- Plan, lead, and coordinate cyber security exercises to test and validate resilience capabilities at a Group level and also over the Security Operations Centre.
- Ensure follow-up actions from exercises across the Group are tracked and incorporated into resilience improvement plans and lessons learned.
- Support compliance with cyber security NIS regulatory requirements in relation to cyber resilience and recovery.
You have
- Excellent experience in cyber security, particularly in resilience, recovery planning and risk management, with a strong understanding of cyber security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, CIS Controls) and NIS Regulations.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments and their resilience requirements.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing cyber resilience projects, with expertise in cyber exercise planning, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to quickly comprehend the resilience functions and capabilities of new technologies.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical and technical skills.
