The predicted salary is between 50000 - 80000 £ per year.

Base Location: Flexible UK, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to: Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Aberdeen, Reading or Havant.

Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

The Senior Risk & Resilience Manager is a key strategic role, and a critical advisor to the Renewables Executive Committee. The role holder has overall accountability for the Enterprise Risk Management framework across SSE Renewables, including facilitating and enabling its effective implementation across all levels of the business. They will also have responsibility for oversight of the Emergency Response and Business Continuity Management Framework, and supporting preparedness for the most critical business interruption risks.

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on risk management and resilience, with an ability to effectively engage stakeholders on these complex subject matters. They will be effective in driving and implementing change, garnering support from a complex range of stakeholders.

You will:

  • Have ownership and accountability for the design and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for SSE Renewables.
  • Act as a critical business advisor to the Renewables Executive and Senior Leadership, facilitating assessment and management of key business risks.
  • Design and implement a proportionate and insightful risk governance and reporting framework, ensuring risk intelligence is analysed and key risks escalated to the appropriate level of management.
  • Be accountable for implementation of emergency response and business continuity management frameworks, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear and plans are in place to respond to key risks.
  • Lead a team of two risk and resilience professionals, providing leadership, development and day-to-day management.

You have:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of leading practice in risk management and resilience frameworks.
  • Experience operating as a risk or resilience professional in a large organisation.
  • Ability to evaluate complex business environments and develop pragmatic solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence a complex range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present complex issues and solutions.
