The predicted salary is between 101000 - 151400 £ per year.

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Reading, Havant, Belfast, Dublin or other SSER locations can be considered.

Salary: £101,000 - £151,400 / €141,200 - €211,800 + car / car allowance + performance‑related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

The role involves leading the safe, compliant and efficient operation of SSE Renewables' offshore wind portfolio and third‑party assets managed under service agreements. With responsibility for more than 2 GW of operational generation capacity across multiple jurisdictions and a growing asset base worth over £5 bn, you will play a critical role in maximising performance, driving operational excellence and delivering long‑term value from our offshore wind assets.

You will:

  • Lead the operation and maintenance of SSE's offshore wind portfolio, ensuring assets are operated safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory, environmental and operational requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Drive asset performance and energy production by optimising maintenance strategies, operational planning and resource deployment to maximise availability while protecting long‑term asset integrity.
  • Provide leadership for offshore operational teams, including maintenance, engineering and control‑room functions, creating a high‑performing culture focused on safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Oversee performance across the portfolio, managing budgets, forecasting, contractor performance and major service agreements to deliver strong operational and financial outcomes.

You have:

  • Significant leadership experience within offshore wind, power generation, utilities, energy infrastructure or another complex operational environment, with responsibility for large‑scale assets and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of operations and maintenance management, asset performance optimisation, safety leadership and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience managing complex commercial arrangements, major service contracts and stakeholder relationships, including joint‑venture partners, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing substantial operational budgets, forecasting performance and identifying opportunities to improve value and efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making skills, with the ability to balance safety, operational performance, commercial priorities and long‑term asset value in a fast‑paced environment.
