Base Location: You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations Reading, Perth or Cardiff.

Salary: £43,704‑£51,484

Working Pattern: Permanent

The role This position within the Flex Pricing & Contract Management team is a new Specialist role that is needed to support the Flex Systems and Processes that are integral for the team to operate efficiently and accurately. The role ensures the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the Flex Pricing systems by leading root‑cause investigations, managing incidents, and validating and testing proposed system amendments for the Flex contracts. It acts as the central coordination point between internal teams and external service partners, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently, and system changes are delivered effectively.

You will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to investigate complex and recurring pricing issues, which impact ECS billed revenue, applying structured problem‑solving techniques to identify root causes.
  • Extract, identify and interpret data patterns across systems, managing the information to inform decision making and highlight emerging risks.
  • Build analytical models to support detailed investigation and enable proactive mitigation strategies allowing Managers and ECS Leaders to make strategic decisions.
  • Anticipate potential issues within interconnected processes and contribute to the development of robust procedures and guidelines that prevent recurrence.
  • Set priorities and plan the resources, stakeholder input, and cross‑functional alignment required to deliver fully formed solutions to maintain ECS business continuity.

You have:

  • Experience in resolving/managing IT system problems and owning queries through to resolution via Azure Dev Ops.
  • Have an understanding of Energy price components and methodologies.
  • Organised and demonstrated ability to work against challenging targets and multiple priorities.
  • Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Produce clear and well‑documented analysis.
