- Represent SSE as the senior point of contact for project delivery, interfacing with directors, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement construction strategies that reduce risk, maximise value, and support long-term asset performance.
- Champion a strong SHEW (Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing) culture across project teams and supply chain partners.
- Mentor and support Project Managers, helping grow the next generation of delivery leaders within SSE.
You have:
- A track record of delivering major capital projects (£5m–£50m) within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven capability in stakeholder management, commercial contracts (NEC3/4), and driving cost and performance outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and SHEW compliance within construction environments.
- Industry-recognised project management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent).
- A track record of effective team leadership, contractor management, and collaboration across matrix organisations.
