This is a high‑impact opportunity to deliver the insurance strategy for major networks projects across Scotland. You’ll work at the heart of capital delivery with a forward‑thinking, innovative team ensuring risks are effectively mitigated via insurance.
You Will
- Lead insurance input across Networks projects, from early development through execution, including OCIP placements, contractual risk reviews, and governance processes.
- Be recognised as a subject matter expert and first point of contact for the business across Networks assets in development, construction and operations.
- Work with the Lead Insurance Manager in the marketing and placement of Large Capital Projects with the London insurance market.
- Support claims resolution and recovery, working with legal and finance teams to manage complex claims and ensure lessons learned are captured.
- Engage with project stakeholders, advising on insurance obligations, indemnity clauses, and interface risks to ensure robust contractual governance.
You Have
- Significant experience in insurance for large capital projects, ideally within the renewables or infrastructure sectors, with knowledge of Owner Controlled Insurance programmes.
- Strong contract review and negotiation skills particularly in relation to large scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC and LOGIC contract forms advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to collaborate across legal, procurement, finance, and project delivery teams.
- Understanding of governance frameworks, including risk transfer mechanisms for major projects.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, bringing diverse perspectives to problem‑solving and team dynamics.
