Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Reading, Havant, Belfast, Dublin or other SSER locations can be considered.
Salary: £101,000 - £151,400/€141,200 - €211,800 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role involves leading the safe, compliant and efficient operation of SSE Renewables' offshore wind portfolio and third-party assets managed under service agreements. With responsibility for more than 2GW of operational generation capacity across multiple jurisdictions and a growing asset base worth over £5bn, you'll play a critical role in maximising performance, driving operational excellence and delivering long-term value from our offshore wind assets.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading the operation and maintenance of SSE's offshore wind portfolio, ensuring assets are operated safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory, environmental and operational requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Driving asset performance and energy production by optimising maintenance strategies, operational planning and resource deployment to maximise availability while protecting long-term asset integrity.
- Providing leadership for offshore operational teams, including maintenance, engineering and control room functions, creating a high-performing culture focused on safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Overseeing performance across the portfolio, managing budgets, forecasting, contractor performance and major service agreements to deliver strong operational and financial outcomes.
Your experience and qualifications should include:
- Significant leadership experience within offshore wind, power generation, utilities, energy infrastructure or another complex operational environment, with responsibility for large-scale assets and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong knowledge of operations and maintenance management, asset performance optimisation, safety leadership and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated industry.
- Experience managing complex commercial arrangements, major service contracts and stakeholder relationships, including joint venture partners, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing substantial operational budgets, forecasting performance and identifying opportunities to improve value and efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance safety, operational performance, commercial priorities and long-term asset value in a fast-paced environment.
