Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Reading, Havant, Belfast, Dublin or other SSER locations can be considered.
Salary: £101,000 - £151,400/€141,200 - €211,800 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role: As Head of Joint Ventures, Offshore Asset Management, you'll lead SSER's strategic oversight of a portfolio of offshore joint venture assets, ensuring strong governance, effective partner relationships and long-term value creation. Reporting to the Director of Offshore Asset Management & Business Services, you'll provide leadership across multiple assets, represent SSE in joint venture governance forums and help shape major commercial, operational and investment decisions that support shareholder value.
- Lead SSE's engagement with joint venture boards and governance forums, ensuring decisions are well prepared, effectively governed and aligned with shareholder interests and contractual arrangements.
- Oversee operational, commercial and financial performance across a portfolio of operated and non-operated offshore assets, identifying opportunities to improve long-term value and performance.
- Provide leadership, support and constructive challenge to Joint Venture General Managers, driving consistent decision-making, governance standards and performance across the portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with joint venture partners, leading alignment discussions, supporting negotiations and resolving complex issues.
- Provide strategic insight, reporting and recommendations to senior leaders on portfolio performance, emerging risks, investment opportunities and major business decisions.
You have:
- Significant senior leadership experience within the energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive sectors, with responsibility for commercial, operational or governance decision-making.
- Strong experience working within joint ventures, partnerships or complex multi-party governance structures, including engagement with boards and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to assess performance, challenge assumptions and influence major investment, maintenance and value optimisation decisions.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills, with the credibility to build trusted relationships across internal and external leadership teams.
- A strategic and collaborative leadership style, with experience leading senior managers, balancing competing priorities and driving long-term value creation in complex environments.
