Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Havant, Cardiff, Reading and Perth.

Salary: Β£43,704 - Β£51,484 and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

The Role: We are embedding agility in our ways of working, building digital capability for the future to meet customer needs differently. SSE IT is enhancing its Agile practices and increasing Agile-based delivery. Those in Delivery and Portfolio Management roles must have Agile experience and promote it within the business.

The Portfolio Analyst in ECS oversees all core Portfolio Office delivery functions such as financial performance, portfolio metrics, resource and demand planning, and benefits tracking.

  • Core Support Functions: Ensure completion of delivery and programme-level support activities. Manage RAID logs, resource planning, MI, progress tracking, and financial reporting. Build relationships with key IT team members to understand and support delivery needs.
  • Reporting Standards: Establish and enforce high reporting standards. Use Azure DevOps for project tracking and collaboration. Train team members and suggest improvements in reporting and operations.
  • Financial Controls: Assist with project cost accounting, budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Delivery Frameworks: Continuously update methodologies and procedures. Develop Power BI reports and dashboards for project insights, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Support and Governance: Assist with project administration, maintain documentation, escalates issues, and uphold cyber security standards.
