Base Location: You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Cardiff, Reading, Perth.
Salary: £51,000 - £65,000 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role: As a Product and Propositions Lead, you will be responsible for helping bring SSE Energy Customer Solutions' strategic vision to life. You will champion the needs of large business energy users and lead ideation, identification and delivery of the products and propositions they need, from concept through to launch. The role sits within the Customer Propositions, Sustainability and Marketing directorate but requires strong stakeholder engagement across the whole of Energy Customer Solutions to ensure that all stakeholders are clear and aligned on customer needs, roadmaps and delivery timelines. You will also be expected to understand Agile delivery to facilitate working with IT and wider delivery teams.
You will:
- Understand SSE Energy Customer Solutions strategic and competitive position in the B2B market, specifically for large energy users, and deliver products and propositions that are aligned with our strategy and recognised as best in the industry.
- Work with business development, sales and energy services teams to maximise new business models and partnerships with product and proposition development.
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and externally.
- Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, business case development, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development and product launch.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements which advocates gold standard customer experience across all touchpoints of your product set.
- Support Go-To-Market on all product launches and the operational rollout of same.
You have:
- Previous experience of designing and delivering propositions, ideally for large businesses in the energy sector.
- The ability to identify and prioritise opportunities based on the realisation of value.
- Excellent storytelling ability combined with business case development.
- A growth mindset - willing to challenge the status quo.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate at all levels of the business and cross-functionally.
