Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Perth, Glasgow, Inverness or Aberdeen.

The role:

  • Join the central Reporting and Analytics team in Transmission to deliver scalable, reusable reporting products across SSEN Transmission.
  • Lead the development of reporting solutions using Power BI and related platform technologies, helping shape how reporting is delivered across the organisation.
  • Lead the design and development of reporting products, semantic models and dashboards across a range of operational and analytical use cases.
  • Develop solutions primarily using Power BI, while contributing to wider reporting and analytics tooling and platform capabilities over time.
  • Work closely with analysts, engineers, architects and business stakeholders to turn reporting requirements into scalable and reusable solutions.
  • Work with a variety of data sources and technologies, including shared platform data, operational systems and business managed data.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting ways of working, including agile delivery, release processes, documentation and support handover practices.

You have:

  • Proven experience developing reporting solutions and semantic models using Power BI within a complex business environment.
  • Experience working with a range of data sources, including operational systems, spreadsheets, shared data platforms and business managed data.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles, report performance optimisation and reusable reporting design.
  • Experience working collaboratively across technical and business teams to define, challenge and deliver practical reporting solutions.
  • Proven ability to work in an agile environment, taking ownership of delivery and working from loosely defined requirements.
