Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations - Perth and Glasgow.

Salary: £50,100 - £87,100 depending on relevant experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: 12 months Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

The role: We are seeking an Inclusion & Diversity Consultant to support the delivery of SSE's Inclusion & Diversity strategy through a 12-month secondment. This is a hands-on role focused on driving forward key Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) priorities, embedding inclusive practices across the business and supporting leaders to translate strategy into meaningful action.

Working within the Learning, Talent, Resourcing & Inclusion function, you will partner with HR and business stakeholders to deliver practical improvements across people processes, engagement and reporting. You will also play a key role in strengthening employee voice, shaping insight and supporting the continued evolution of SSE's inclusive culture.

You will:

  • Deliver key elements of SSE's I&D action plans, bringing priorities to life through practical, measurable outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with HR and business leaders to embed inclusive practices across core people processes.
  • Lead I&D reporting, including contributions to Annual and Sustainability reports, pay gap reporting, and external benchmarks.
  • Use data and employee insights to identify trends, shape recommendations, and support continuous improvement.
  • Support the delivery of engaging I&D initiatives, including collaboration with Belonging Communities and employee voice activities.

You have:

  • Experience within an Inclusion, Diversity or Sustainability-related role in a complex, large organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence, and support leaders at all levels.
  • Confidence in using data and insights to inform decision-making and measure impact.
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical, meaningful actions that deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience creating clear, engaging materials and reporting for senior and external audiences.
  • A good understanding of current I&D trends, challenges, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
