Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Glasgow, Perth, Dublin or London.
Salary: £35,200 - £52,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role SSE's Corporate Finance team is central to delivering M&A, project financing, investment appraisal and financial strategy across the SSE Group. This role offers the opportunity to work across a mix of technologies at the heart of the energy sector, including our Renewables, Thermal, Energy Customer Solutions business units, and to support investments at the forefront of the UK and European energy industry.
You will play a key role in financial modelling, M&A transaction and investment process support. Some of your main accountabilities may include:
- Performing advanced financial modelling on development assets, M&A, bids and project financings
- Providing financial analysis to support investment appraisals
- Supporting due diligence and investment process governance
- Inputting to Board / Executive committee papers and presentations
You have Prior experience in financial analysis and investment appraisal, for example in a corporate finance, transaction services, audit, accountancy or consultancy role. Experience in the UK & Ireland / European energy sector is desired but not essential. Highly analytical problem-solving skills, and understand three-statement and discounted cash flow valuation modelling / core valuation concepts. Effective communication skills and can simplify messages from financial analysis, and provide high quality work on a timely and consistent basis. Or be working towards a professional accountancy / investment related qualification, e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CFA. Understanding of M&A and project financing processes (desired but not essential).
