The role:
- As an Asset Information and System Data Specialist, you’ll provide technical knowledge to support the operation and continuous improvement of our asset management systems.
- You’ll help ensure SSEN has accurate, consistent and timely asset management data, with a particular focus on IBM Maximo as our enterprise asset management system.
- Support the construction of planned maintenance within IBM Maximo and contribute to the ongoing development of the asset register.
- Carry out data entry, manipulation, mapping and validation to ensure asset information is accurate and aligned to SSEN specifications.
- Prepare deliverable load files and maintain data quality and integrity throughout projects and operational activity.
- Work with project teams to ensure key milestones are delivered on time and to the agreed quality standards.
- Monitor vendor and supplier data deliverables, providing effective reporting and insight on performance indicators and emerging trends.
You have:
- Experience in a similar asset information, system data or asset management systems role, with strong operational knowledge of IBM Maximo.
- Experience of ETL activity, including extracting, transforming and loading data within IBM Maximo and from other systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex engineering and optimisation options arising from data use.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- An appreciation of working in a regulated environment, recognising the importance of accurate data within a tightly governed framework.
