We have a great opportunity for a Streetworks Coordinator to join our team! As a key representative for the Region, this role plays an important part in working closely with local authorities, internal teams, and a wide range of stakeholders to keep all Street Works activity running smoothly. You’ll take the lead in making sure everything meets the required regulatory and technical standards, including HAUC and NRSWA, while helping to deliver high-quality services and drive operational excellence.

Working as part of the external resources team, you’ll build strong partnerships with colleagues and contract partners, helping to boost performance, hit key targets, and keep projects on track and on time. With a clear focus on customer satisfaction and meeting regulatory expectations, this role plays a key part in supporting the Region’s ambition to deliver an outstanding service every time.

You will:

  • Put customers at the centre of every decision, ensuring high-quality service and value are delivered by you, your team, and contract partners by meeting and exceeding customer and regulatory expectations.
  • Take the lead on Street Works compliance across the Region, providing clear direction, oversight, and support to ensure all activities meet required standards without compromise.
  • Act as the key point of contact for Street Works within the Region, managing communication, performance updates, and change initiatives between central teams and local operations.
  • Build strong, open communication channels that keep teams informed, engaged, and aligned, helping to drive performance, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a strong Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) culture by leading by example, promoting safe working practices, and ensuring the wellbeing of the workforce, customers, and the environment is always the top priority.

You have:

  • A good understanding of Street Works legislation and processes, including NRSWA, HAUC, permits, and highway authority requirements (relevant qualifications are an advantage).
  • A good awareness of how a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) operates, including regulatory frameworks, performance incentives, and customer service standards.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of unit costs, financial considerations, and the ability to use data to track performance and inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to build relationships and effectively manage and challenge contractor performance.
  • Great organisational skills and a proactive approach, with a clear commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
