Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.

The role: We’re looking for a Personal Assistant to provide high level support to our Director of Legal and our HR Director within SSEN Transmission. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations, managing complex schedules and logistics to enable strategic priorities. From coordinating travel and meetings to preparing documentation for senior forums, you’ll be central to keeping things organised and efficient. You will:

  • Manage and prioritise the director’s diary, ensuring time is allocated effectively to the most strategic meetings and commitments.
  • Prepare and review documents, briefing papers, reports, and presentations, monitor emails, follow up on actions and deadlines, and raise Purchase Orders in iBuy to ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate and approve travel arrangements, hospitality requests, visas, accommodation, and occasionally travel to other sites.
  • Organise events, conferences, and large departmental meetings, balancing multiple priorities and delivering in a fast-paced environment.

You have:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant in a busy, senior-level environment.
  • The ability to research, analyse, and present information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office 365 applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • A high level of discretion, reliability, and understanding of confidential matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
