Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
The role supports the safe, compliant and efficient operation of assigned SSE sites by delivering planned and reactive maintenance, minor building fabric repairs, workplace services and site support in accordance with FM processes, safety requirements and agreed service standards. The role provides professional customer service, engages effectively with stakeholders and contractors, maintains accurate records through Microsoft 365 and the corporate CAFM system, and supports performance reporting and continuous improvement. Where operationally required, the role will travel between and support multiple sites.
You will:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance, completing work safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales while ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Undertake a range of multi-skilled building fabric repairs, including carpentry, painting, tiling, and general maintenance activities within competence levels.
- Promote a strong safety culture by identifying and escalating hazards, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and adhering to safe systems of work.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders, customers, contractors, and suppliers, providing clear communication, managing expectations, and delivering excellent customer service.
- Use CAFM systems (such as Planon) and Microsoft 365 applications to manage work orders, maintain accurate records, support reporting, and ensure compliance evidence is captured.
- Collaborate effectively across sites and teams, supporting operational priorities, continuous improvement initiatives, audits, projects, emergency response activities, and business continuity requirements.
You have:
- Practical capability in minor maintenance and building fabric tasks, supported by an appropriate trade background or equivalent relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements applicable to maintenance activities.
- Competent use of CAFM/IWMS systems, with experience of Planon desirable, including work-order updates, completion of records and data accuracy.
- Competent use of Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel, for communication, collaboration, record keeping and routine reporting.
- Ability to interpret work instructions, maintenance information and basic performance data, and to produce clear factual updates.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work across changing operational demands and, where required, multiple sites.
- Full valid driving license and willingness to travel between sites where this forms part of the role.
