The role:
At SSEN Transmission, we're playing a vital role in delivering the network infrastructure needed to support the UK's transition to a net zero future. As our Digital Content Executive, you'll help tell that story through compelling, engaging and accessible digital content that connects with communities, stakeholders and audiences across our social media and digital channels. Working closely with colleagues across Corporate Affairs, you'll combine creativity with insight to bring campaigns, projects and business priorities to life, helping to strengthen our digital presence while promoting our commitment to safety, sustainability and responsible growth.
You will:
- Create high-quality written, visual and video content for social media and digital channels, ensuring all content is engaging, inclusive, accurate and aligned with our brand, values and safety-first culture.
- Deliver and optimise social media activity across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, tailoring content to maximise audience engagement and reach.
- Partner with the Website and Social Media Manager and wider Corporate Affairs teams to support content plans, campaigns and storytelling that showcase SSEN Transmission's priorities and impact.
- Monitor content performance using data and analytics, identifying opportunities to continuously improve engagement, effectiveness and audience experience.
- Champion accessibility, brand consistency and digital best practice, while supporting website content management and maintaining awareness of emerging trends, technologies and platform developments.
You have:
- Experience creating and delivering engaging digital and social media content, including copy, visual assets and video content for corporate audiences.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, alongside excellent copywriting skills and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Experience using content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Apple creative tools or similar, with an understanding of accessible and inclusive content design.
- Confidence using analytics and reporting tools to measure performance, generate insights and make recommendations that enhance content effectiveness.
- A collaborative and organised approach, with an awareness of GDPR requirements and a genuine commitment to creating safe, responsible and audience-focused digital communications.
