Our Trainee Engineers have a unique opportunity to combine work-based learning whilst studying towards a formal qualification in energy. If you enjoy being hands-on, this is the programme for you. You will rotate around different teams putting newly-learned knowledge straight into practice. This is a three-year programme and a fantastic opportunity to get your engineering career off to a flying start!
Trainee Engineer Roles Locations: England Portsmouth, Reading, Berkshire, Slough, Berkshire, Oxford, Oxfordshire, Aldershot, Hampshire, Basingstoke, Hampshire, New Forest, Hampshire, Petersfield, Hampshire, Melksham, Wiltshire.
Requirements:
- You will need qualifications in Maths, Science and English.
- If you have relevant technical experience, we may also consider this.
Depending on which area of the business you work in, your starting salary will be circa £24,000. Once qualified, our Trainee Engineers will have an HNC or Foundation Degree in Electrical Power Engineering and can expect to be earning circa £34,000 per year. By the time you reach the third year of the programme, you will be given increased responsibility in managing jobs, including all technical aspects, safety management, and the supervision of crafts people or contractors.
This programme lasts three years, with some of that time spent at college and the rest of the time spent on site, learning on the job. Our Trainee Engineers dive straight into hands-on experience! With a strong support network to guide them, they are set up for success every step of the way.
