Working across the full asset lifecycle, you'll help shape how we think, how we decide and how we grow, identifying opportunities to create value from the game-changing assets powering a net zero future. We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader who can influence at the highest levels, navigate complexity and help ensure SSE Renewables remains a future market leader in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

This is an opportunity to lead a function that influences how we think, how we decide and how we grow.

You will

  • Lead and develop the Energy Analytics function, setting the strategic direction, capability and operating model needed to support SSE Renewables' growth ambitions.
  • Provide strategic oversight of energy forecasting, resource assessment, performance analytics and portfolio optimisation activities, ensuring insight drives improved business performance and commercial outcomes.
  • Support executive decision-making through independent challenge, expert analysis and strategic recommendations relating to asset performance, investment opportunities, production risk and portfolio value.
  • Champion innovation, digital transformation and the adoption of advanced analytical techniques and emerging technologies to unlock new opportunities and improve business performance.
  • Build, inspire and develop a high-performing team while embedding a culture of Safety, Health, Environment, Wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement.

You have

  • Significant leadership experience within renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure or another complex asset-intensive environment.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary technical, analytical or commercial teams and delivering measurable business value through data-driven decision making.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing major investment decisions, portfolio optimisation and long-term asset performance strategies.
  • A strong understanding of energy markets, forecasting methodologies, analytics frameworks and how analytical insight can be used to maximise portfolio value and support strategic investment decisions.
  • Experience driving organisational capability, innovation, digital transformation and continuous improvement within a complex and evolving business environment.
