The role:
The Digital Technology Manager plays a key role in shaping the technology organisation’s transition into a modern, product‑aligned, DevOps‑led environment. This role champions improvements in ways of working, tooling, and engineering practices, while thoughtfully embedding automation and AI‑enabled capabilities into delivery and operations. The role helps ensure that technology delivery remains closely aligned with customer outcomes, regulatory commitments, and wider business priorities. It provides oversight across a portfolio of digital initiatives, supporting efficient delivery, strong governance, and clear value realisation.
- Guide the evolution toward a DevOps‑first operating model, encouraging CI/CD, automation, cloud‑native practices, and AI‑enabled tooling.
- Oversee portfolio delivery and governance, helping to ensure effective and well‑coordinated execution across the delivery lifecycle.
- Connect delivery activity to business outcomes and customer commitments.
- Lead, develop, and support high‑performing teams, creating an environment where people can thrive.
- Manage suppliers, commercial disciplines, compliance, and regulatory requirements with care and consistency.
You have:
- Strong experience in DevOps, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices, including AI‑enabled tools and automation.
- Proven portfolio and delivery management capability, with experience prioritising initiatives and guiding day‑to‑day delivery decisions.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with line management responsibility for multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives and identifying the most appropriate tools and platforms.
- Experience contributing to technology delivery budgets and taking shared accountability for successful delivery.
