Base Location: You'll be required to spend 50% of your time based at one of the following locations - Perth, Inverness or Glasgow.

The Lead Hydro Health & Safety Manager is a senior leadership role within the SSER Health & Safety Team, responsible for providing strategic safety leadership across the Hydro business unit while overseeing and guiding a team of dedicated health and safety professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Hydro senior management teams in making sure we keep people, assets and the environment safe from harm by actively applying and promoting SHE policies and standards across the group.
- Driving continued excellence in H&S performance by working in collaboration with the different business teams around risk assessments, risk controls and investigations.
- Ensuring due diligence and H&S assessments/audits of businesses, organisations and contractors are carried out when required.
- Managing and driving your team to maximise performance and ensure our customer requirements are fulfilled.
- Working closely with the Hydro business to deliver our behavioural safety requirements in line with our Safety Family Programme, ensuring that it is delivered in a clear and consistent way.
Qualifications:
- A professional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant safety focused qualification.
- A registered membership of IOSH or equivalent accrediting body or be willing to work towards this.
- Experience gained in an energy or other high hazard industry with suitable transferable skills.
- A natural flair for forging strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
- The ability to work in a demanding environment and deliver effectively against challenging deadlines.
