This is a brilliant opportunity to join SSE’s in-house legal team as a Property Solicitor, where you’ll play a valued role in supporting the safe and responsible delivery of vital energy projects. Working across a wide range of onshore and offshore developments, you’ll partner collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to provide trusted legal guidance on property matters. You’ll be part of a supportive, purpose‑led team that champions integrity, care, and doing the right thing - ensuring that everything we do is underpinned by safety, quality, and respect for our communities and environments.
You will:
- Draft, review and thoughtfully negotiate a wide range of property and land agreements, ensuring all arrangements support safe and sustainable project delivery.
- Provide clear, practical legal guidance to stakeholders, helping them navigate property matters with confidence and care.
- Manage relationships with external legal partners, ensuring high‑quality support while achieving best value.
- Support applications and queries with Tailte Éireann, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at every stage.
- Collaborate with the wider legal team, contributing to a culture of shared learning, integrity, and continuous improvement.
You have:
- Qualification as a solicitor in Ireland, with around 2‑5 years’ PQE (flexible depending on experience), and a strong foundation in property law.
- Experience drafting and negotiating a range of property agreements, alongside exposure to title investigation and land registration processes.
- A thoughtful, collaborative approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Strong communication skills and sound commercial awareness, with a focus on clarity, care, and positive outcomes.
- A proactive and organised mindset, with an appreciation for working in a safety‑led, values‑driven environment (energy sector experience would be a bonus).
