Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Inverness ideally, or Aberdeen or Perth.
Salary: £59,800 - £89,800 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Role: The Regional Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Manager is a highly technical, competent and professional role in the Transmission SHW Team. They provide proactive and pragmatic SHW & CDM advice and guidance to internal customers throughout their allocated Transmission regions.
- Work in close partnership with Lead Project Managers to ensure SHW, CDM and Assurance strategies across their designated region(s) align with expectations and preserve their support.
- Actively promote and carry out regular Site SHW Audits and Inspections and work closely with Contractor Partners where relevant, to implement safety improvement initiatives/campaigns for works.
- Assist the Lead SHW & CDM Manager on the development and implementation of SHW & CDM arrangements in the Transmission SHW Management system, including incident reporting and management, ensuring feedback is accurate, consistent, unambiguous, well-structured and concise.
- Seek to continuously improve the capability and professionalism of their team via training, education, support, development and coaching while ensuring consistency in the service provided by the team in line with agreed expectations keeping track of and reporting on regional issues and best practices.

You have:
- A good foundation of knowledge and experience of high-risk operational activities (overhead, underground and substations) on transmission/distribution networks or similar.
- Good understanding of CDM and associated design, construction, O&M and demolition practices.
- Graduate qualification in Occupational Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma) or related discipline or appropriate proven knowledge and experience.
- Registered member of IOSH or equivalent organisation with continuing professional development (or desire to work towards).
- Clear and concise communicator both written and oral with the ability to engage effectively and explain complex and relevant issues in appropriate detail.
