Base Location: For these roles, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations - Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen, and you will be required to spend a minimum of 3 full days per week on site.

The roles SSEN Transmission has exciting opportunities for Project Managers to join our Onshore Capital Delivery team. You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team delivering Underground Cable works and the replacement of the 132kV Overhead Line between Fort Augustus and Ardelve, Isle of Skye. Prior experience with civils, mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure projects would be particularly valuable for this role - with a key focus on civil engineering.

As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the energy transition and helping deliver the Scottish and UK Government's Net Zero ambitions. You will:
- Lead and support the SSEN project team through collaborative matrix management, building strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Oversee the development and delivery of large capital projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to high quality standards.
- Promote and uphold our Safety Management Systems, ensuring best practice is embedded and SSE Large Capital Projects (LCP) Governance requirements are met.
- Champion SSE's Safety Culture and leadership values, taking a proactive and caring approach to safety and wellbeing.
- Align project delivery with the Transmission T3 Business Plan, supporting environmental goals, community impact, and safe delivery.
You have:
- Experience in NEC contract management, with the ability to successfully support or lead delivery under the NEC Suite of Contracts.
- A track record of contributing to large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- A qualification in a construction related discipline (or equivalent experience) - we value both formal education and practical expertise.
- A good understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and how to apply them in project delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with a collaborative mindset; commercial awareness, NEC programme management, and experience in environmentally sensitive areas would be beneficial but are not essential.
Onsite presence is expected 3 days per week as a minimum, therefore a full driving licence is required.
