The Role
As a Senior Developer – Digital Platforms, you’ll be part of our Digital Teams, delivering modern, scalable digital solutions that support the ECS initiatives. You’ll work within an Agile, product-centric team to design and build cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, develop rich user experiences using React and TypeScript, and integrate enterprise systems through GraphQL APIs and event-driven architectures.
You’ll play a key role in shaping platforms that respond to events and data in near real time, integrating with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement, and contributing to broader automation, integration, and AI-enabled initiatives across the digital landscape.
You will:
- Demonstrate the ability to analyse complex business and technical problems, designing effective, scalable digital solutions using strong analytical and architectural skills.
- Have a proven track record of delivering end-to-end digital solutions at scale, including designing, building, testing, automating, deploying, and monitoring applications using a modern cloud and web technology stack in production environments.
- Gain hands-on experience working with business-critical enterprise platforms in medium to large organisations, ensuring reliability, resilience, and performance.
- Work in environments that follow DevOps and Agile principles, with strong practical experience of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated quality and release controls.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into well-designed digital products and services.
You have:
- Extensive experience building modern digital applications using React and TypeScript, with strong understanding of component-based UI design, state management, and performance optimisation.
- Proven expertise designing and consuming GraphQL and REST APIs, and integrating distributed systems using event-driven architecture patterns.
- Strong backend development experience using .NET / C#, building scalable, secure services on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, and other integration and messaging technologies.
- Practical experience integrating with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Engagement (CE), including custom extensions, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- A solid understanding of cloud-native and containerised architectures, including Docker and orchestration platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with Build & Release Management, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), ideally using Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Releases) and production monitoring/observability tooling.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and databases such as SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and other relational or NoSQL technologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
