The Role
Join our Energy Markets technology team and play a key role in delivering the software solutions that power critical business operations. You will work as part of an Agile delivery team to design, build and enhance high-quality applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable and built for long-term success. Alongside developing new capabilities aligned to business priorities, you will provide ongoing support and continuous improvement to keep our platforms reliable, resilient and fit for the future.
You Will
- Design, build and enhance innovative software solutions that support critical Energy Markets trading and operational processes, delivering real business impact in a fast-moving industry.
- Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from shaping requirements and designing solutions through to deployment, support and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to solve complex business challenges using Agile delivery practices and modern engineering approaches.
- Help maintain and evolve business-critical platforms, troubleshooting issues, improving performance and ensuring systems remain secure, resilient and reliable.
- Champion engineering excellence by sharing knowledge, adopting emerging technologies and driving continuous improvements in development practices, automation and tooling.
You Have
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using technologies such as C#, JavaScript, .NET or similar modern development frameworks.
- A solid understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, version control, code quality and secure development practices.
- Exposure to cloud technologies and DevOps ways of working, with experience of Azure, CI/CD pipelines and automation considered highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- A curious, proactive mindset and a desire to continuously learn, innovate and contribute to solutions that help shape the future of the energy industry.
