The Role

Join our Energy Markets technology team and play a key role in delivering the software solutions that power critical business operations. You'll work as part of an Agile delivery team to design, build and enhance high-quality applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable and built for long-term success. Alongside developing new capabilities aligned to business priorities, you'll provide ongoing support and continuous improvement to keep our platforms reliable, resilient and fit for the future.

You Will

  • Design, build and enhance innovative software solutions that support critical Energy Markets trading and operational processes, delivering real business impact in a fast-moving industry.
  • Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from shaping requirements and designing solutions through to deployment, support and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to solve complex business challenges using Agile delivery practices and modern engineering approaches.
  • Help maintain and evolve business-critical platforms, troubleshooting issues, improving performance and ensuring systems remain secure, resilient and reliable.
  • Champion engineering excellence by sharing knowledge, adopting emerging technologies and driving continuous improvements in development practices, automation and tooling.

You Have

  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using technologies such as C#, JavaScript, .NET or similar modern development frameworks.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, version control, code quality and secure development practices.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies and DevOps ways of working, with experience of Azure, CI/CD pipelines and automation considered highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • A curious, proactive mindset and a desire to continuously learn, innovate and contribute to solutions that help shape the future of the energy industry.
