The role involves being a route to market for renewable assets, which is a key tenet of the Energy Customer Solutions Strategy and its role in the SSE Group. Reporting to the Head of Major Bids, this role will lead all Corporate PPA related sales work, ensuring we can design, bring to market and execute Corporate PPA products.
You will work closely with a variety of teams across ECS and the wider SSE Group to create a comprehensive CPPA proposition for customers including:
- Management of existing CPPA products and associated delivery;
- Influencing the design and development of new CPPA products and services;
- Extensive customer engagement to support the sales process.
The position will straddle strategy delivery across multiple SSE departments, including EM (Energy Markets), ECS Sales Operations, ECS marketing and ECS strategy, Renewables, Distributed Energy and BEMS. The role holder will have a key strategic and commercial responsibility to support key customers in delivering against their Net Zero ambitions.
You will own existing CPPA product sales targets including:
- Product improvements;
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support wider Sales teams;
- Contract iterations;
- Responsibility for internal delivery framework improvements and cohesive working partnerships.
Actively seek CPPA opportunities amongst existing customer base and prospects; lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders regarding CPPA development activity in GB to ensure that we are creating commercially viable products; represent ECS on external bodies and act as a spokesperson at ECS at external events and conferences. Regularly report on progress regarding sales and proposition development against targets.
You have:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and comfortable presenting and advising at senior executive level.
- Ability to translate complex information to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
- Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems in order to secure positive business outcomes.
- Ability to develop project or team plans which establish objectives for others, set timetables, allocate accountabilities and co-ordinate resources.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with relevant external contacts.
- Experience of developing customer-facing products and/or services, with direct experience of CPPAs preferable.
