Base Location: Field Based covering London and Southeast England

The Role

As Head of Major Projects, you’ll play a critical role in driving our expansion efforts, identifying new and fostering existing strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a leadership position with business P&L responsibility, running an established major projects delivery team. You’ll have oversight of major projects programme management nationwide and this role brings the opportunity for business and personal growth.

You will

  • Take responsibility for the development and execution of the Major Projects business plan, including financial performance and all aspects of operational delivery
  • Lead an engineering team, who will work with you to achieve planned objectives and budgets, focusing on both business and customer needs
  • Contribute to company strategy development and liaise with the sales department to grow market share within the new build construction market in and around London and Southeast England
  • Forge strong relationships which will ensure commercial and financial compliance
  • Use your passion for the role to understand the activity in the marketplace, ensuring competitor and market differentiation, which will make for informed decision making

You have

  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects valued at £2M+, ideally in the Smart Buildings, BEMS or construction sectors
  • A background of owning business unit P&L, including forecasting, budgeting, and commercial reporting
  • Expertise in leading multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams, including performance management and capability development
  • Evidence of strategic stakeholder engagement, including with main contractors, clients and technology partners
  • A proven track record of contributing to or developing business growth plans, preferably in a regional or national role
  • Be comfortable in a corporate environment and managing key stakeholder relationships in other business units
