Enerveo is one of the largest contracting businesses in the UK offering a broad scope of services including mechanical electrical high voltage electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation test and inspection services as well as street lighting.

Base Location: Fareham Palmerston Depot

Salary: 24309 - 31230 depending on skills and experience and working hours plus a range of other benefits to support your family finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Full Time (Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months Maternity Cover) Monday - Friday. Typical hours are 07:30 - 15:30.

Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland and through design project management consultancy installation and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter greener and more efficient which benefits us all.

As a Resource Controller / Storeperson for the Newcastle Highways electrical team your responsibilities will include:

  • Management and procurement of materials
  • Stock management
  • Fleet / equipment / plant / building compliance
  • Supporting the team in job and supplier coordination

In a typical day you could expect to:

  • Manage stock including stock system management, booking in and out, and goods.
  • Undertake stock control which would include manual handling and accounting.
  • Ensure appropriate arrangements are in place to maximise stock availability to meet contractual / customer demands.
  • Deal with external suppliers to ensure stock items are at the correct price and delivered at the correct time.
  • Manage and control transport serving / maintenance booking ensuring all vehicle operational needs are met.
  • Manage building maintenance and compliance.
  • Build a program liaising with clients, operatives, and sub-contractors.
  • Manage and control plant and equipment, including ordering and calibration.
  • Support with training coordination HERs / NERs portfolios.
  • Work to and manage a master operative resource log.

What do I need to be successful in the role:

  • Exceptional IT Skills including web-based systems, database management systems, and stock management systems.
  • Experience in the end-to-end delivery of material management with knowledge of the supply chain and procurement processes required.
  • A valid forklift licence is required.
  • Program management coordination experience.
  • Experience / ability to control an asset logging or other database systems.

Some of our nice to haves are:

  • Supply chain and sub-contractor coordination.
  • Experience in building management / asset management.
  • Knowledge in using general accounting software for raising orders.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation guidance and good practice.

We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training / qualifications they may not have in the nice to have list.
