What You Will Get To Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated functional and regression test suites using C#, BDD frameworks (SpecFlow/Reqnroll), and modern automation tools.
- Execute functional, regression, API, UI, and exploratory testing to ensure high-quality software releases across Calastone's products.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, supporting continuous delivery practices.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and MCP integrations to accelerate test creation, defect investigation, and impact analysis while validating all AI-generated output.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, DevOps, Operations, and Client Delivery teams to understand requirements, identify defects, and ensure successful delivery.
- Generate and maintain high-quality BDD scenarios, automated test scripts, and QA documentation while contributing to the team's automation standards and knowledge base.
- Continuously improve QA processes, promote automation best practices, and contribute to the adoption of AI-driven quality engineering across the team.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience developing automated test frameworks using C# (.NET) (preferred) or Java, with Behaviour Driven Development frameworks such as SpecFlow or Reqnroll.
- Strong experience automating REST API and UI testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong SQL skills with experience working against relational databases and validating complex datasets.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve software testing while applying critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, agile methodologies, test design techniques (including equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis), and automation best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience within financial services or fintech, particularly testing financial systems, XML, JSON, FIX, SFTP, or Swift messaging.
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations and AI agent workflows.
- Experience testing event-driven architectures, including Azure Service Bus and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Knowledge of NeoLoad or other non-functional testing tools.
- Understanding of the European Mutual Funds and/or ETF industry.
- ISTQB Certification (or equivalent).
