Hybrid role - London/Basildon office
Our DevOps engineers work on “maximising product flow” in a financially regulated environment. This role will primarily be supporting the SS&C managed services platform, which hosts in-house developed software applications for our customers on AWS.
As a Senior member of the DevOps team, you will have responsibility for supporting existing DevOps tools in addition to designing & building new capabilities. You would also provide guidance to junior members of the team as well as task management.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy)
- Assess and build new monitoring capabilities across on-premises & cloud-hosted environments
- Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools
- Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines
- Support implementation of our next-generation product stack (Microservices, Terraform, EKS, Consul, Vault)
- Work with our Cloud Engineers to develop AWS Solutions
Your Experience
- IT degree, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working in AWS in a DevOps role
- Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes at scale
- Experience with on-premise / cloud hybrid systems
- Strong experience with IaC, in particular Terraform
- Experience with GitOps tool is a bonus
- Working knowledge of observability tools, preferably Grafana and Prometheus
