Overall job purpose: As part of the Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) Platform Services team, we manage and support enterprise-grade database platforms—including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle—that enable our organization to efficiently store, access, and govern data. We focus on ensuring these platforms are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance and reliability.
You will be an integral member of a globally distributed team, collaborating across multiple locations and time zones to provide reliable, high-performance database solutions that support the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations for PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), and Oracle databases, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, backups, user management, and performance tuning.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure timely incident response and resolution, maintaining high availability and reliability of database services.
- Collaborate with global teams across Thailand, India, the US, UK, Canada, and other regions to support daily operational requests and project initiatives.
- Ensure all database systems comply with regulatory, security, privacy, and audit requirements, maintaining a strong posture in governance and risk management.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in either PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
- Willingness to learn and expand into other database technologies or data-related solutions.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in more than one database technology is highly preferred—especially candidates with strong hands-on experience in both PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
- Hands-on experience with high availability (HA) database architectures and solutions.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS).
- DevOps skills, including experience with tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, containers (e.g., Docker), Grafana, and Prometheus.
