Job Role

SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, serving over 55 million investors. The company invests continually in global technology and services across distribution channels, including Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers, Banks, and Insurers. Investor servicing is available in multiple countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. SS&C also services mutual fund structures in various fund domiciles.

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS)

This business unit offers the role, delivering global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre and digital services.

Responsibilities

  1. Medical Risk Assessment: Evaluate clients’ medical information to determine life expectancy and insurability, impacting the discount applied to DGPs.
  2. Underwriting Decisions: Make accurate, fair, and timely underwriting decisions within authority limits, balancing risk and client outcomes.
  3. Discount Calculations: Collaborate with actuarial and technical teams to calculate the present value of retained rights for DGPs based on life expectancy, investment assumptions, and HMRC guidelines.
  4. Client & Adviser Support: Provide technical underwriting support to financial advisers, trustees, and internal stakeholders regarding DGP structures and medical underwriting requirements.
  5. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all underwriting decisions comply with FCA regulations, HMRC expectations, and internal standards.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of underwriting philosophy, rules engines, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
