About the Role
SS&C is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Trade Support Analyst to join our team in a client-facing role, supporting one of our top hedge fund clients. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in technology, financial operations, and client service to gain exposure to front-line trading and operational workflows at a leading investment firm – while benefiting from the structure, culture, and career growth of working for a world-class technology provider.
In this role, you will act as the first line of support for trade and system-related issues, managing technical triage, trade data validation, process monitoring, and escalations — while collaborating closely with the client’s front, middle, and back-office teams, as well as SS&C’s engineers and product specialists. You will gain exposure to multi-asset class trade lifecycles, trading workflows, regulatory processes, and real-world hedge fund operations – interacting directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Risk, and Compliance Officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for trade capture, trade booking, and system workflow issues.
- Perform initial troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution where possible, escalating issues to engineering or product teams when required.
- Monitor application health, trading workflows, and post-trade processes to ensure timely settlement and accurate positions.
- Act as the communication bridge between the client’s front-office teams and SS&C’s internal support, engineering, and product teams.
- Maintain a strong onsite presence to foster close working relationships and ensure rapid response to critical issues.
- Assess, triage, and track support requests, providing real-time solutions where appropriate.
- Create and maintain internal documentation and client-facing knowledge base articles.
- Support and test in UAT for new system releases, patches, and enhancements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and client experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Previous experience in trade support, middle office, operations, or trading system support.
- Strong proficiency in SQL; familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, C#, PowerShell) advantageous.
- Understanding financial instruments across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives) beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues for non-technical users.
- Strong attention to details, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.
- Enthusiastic about learning and thriving in a high-performance, client-facing environment.
