SSA are currently recruiting for a leading Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor who require a Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join their team as part of their upcoming AMP8 United Utilities framework covering schemes such as clean & wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, tunnelling, shafts, deep drainage, pipelines, and other schemes.
This role involves working closely with directors to ensure the implementation of effective processes and procedures to deliver clean and wastewater schemes in various environments. The successful candidate will manage a team of project managers, site managers, supervisors, engineers, operatives, and subcontractors. They are seeking someone with a detailed background in the civil engineering or utilities sector, capable of engaging in business development, tendering, health & safety, client liaison, recruitment, and other related areas.
Responsibilities- Ensure the delivery of projects within the specified time and budget constraints.
- Ensure all health, safety, and welfare obligations are met during project execution.
- Identify necessary resources and assign responsibilities accordingly.
- Create and implement project work plans, adjusting them as needed to meet evolving requirements.
- Maintain and manage relationships with clients and all project stakeholders appropriately.
- Apply company methodologies effectively and uphold project standards.
- Minimize the company's exposure to risks associated with the project.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and properly stored.
- Management experience within Civil Engineering and/or Utilities sectors.
- HNC/HND/BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
