The Client My client has an excellent reputation across major Civil Engineering projects with an impressive tender success rate. They are working on a number of large scale joint venture projects as well as projects as sole main contractor. Projects include:- * Highways, * Rail, * Water, * Tunnelling, * Power Distribution Role Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated leader and experienced Senior Estimator. Joining an established and professional team that pride themselves on the scale of projects they are bidding on and delivering. My client is looking to recruit an ambitious candidate who is prepared to make the step up and take control of a successful Estimating department, a role that offers huge job satisfaction. As well as being a leader, the Chief Estimator will be directly involved in a number of major project bids. Taking the lead on JV bids, ensuring the tender / bid is correctly collated then presented back to the client. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for: * Managing/overseeing the current team of Estimators. * Estimating the cost of materials, time and labour to produce accurate estimates for project tenders. * Analyse direct and indirect costs. * Lead and be the face of tenders and £50million + Joint Venture bids. * Providing regular reports on the progress of tenders at all stages. * Liaise with all interfaces of the projects to gain thorough understanding of client/project requirements. * Negotiation of contracts. * Working to client deadlines. You need to have experience as a Senior Estimator and being involved with projects ranging from £50m to £500m on Civil engineering bias projects.
