About the Role
Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale civil engineering project in the Didcot area. You will be responsible for overall project performance from inception through completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of project delivery and site operations.
- Provide leadership and direction to site staff and subcontractors.
- Drive project planning, resource allocation and scheduling.
- Manage project budgets, control costs and monitor commercial performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Coordinate with designers, clients and the wider project team.
- Chair and attend project and subcontractor meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports and minutes.
- Maintain accurate contractual records and documentation.
- Introduce improvements and innovations to project delivery where appropriate.
- Compile and submit operation and maintenance manuals at project completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects (typically 8-10+ years experience).
- Strong technical understanding of construction methods and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling and resource management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, and solve complex project challenges.
- Full UK driving licence.
