A leading civil engineering contractor with a strong track record in water, marine and infrastructure works is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and support the successful delivery of marine-based projects across Scotland.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, execution and commercial performance of marine projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, sustainably and to the highest engineering standards. Working closely with clients, designers, in-house specialists and site teams, you will drive technical excellence, programme certainty and collaborative working throughout project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of marine and coastal engineering projects, including harbours, piers, jetties, sea defences, offshore structures and associated infrastructure.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Oversee project engineering, temporary works, quality control and risk management.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and high levels of satisfaction.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring work meets specifications and performance standards.
- Produce project reports, cost forecasts, contract administration documentation and project handover materials.
About You
- Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally with a strong marine or coastal background.
- Sound technical knowledge of marine construction methodologies and associated risks.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience working under NEC or similar forms of contract.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.
